Namibia Affordable Fly-In, 13 nights

Our Affordable Fly-In itinerary makes use of FlyNamibia’s exciting safari circuit. Guests pay for a seat on scheduled flights, rather than having to pay for a private charter. Flying between lodges allows travellers to cover a lot of ground in a relatively short time, and this spectacular safari covers Sossusvlei, a marine cruise in Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein World Heritage site, five nights of exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities in two private reserves located on the border of Etosha National Park, and a unique ‘Dream Cruiser’ sleepout in the Onguma Reserve.

Day 1

You will be met in the arrivals hall of Windhoek Hosea Kutako Airport by one of our chauffeur drivers who will transfer you into town in an ATI luxury vehicle. After taking some time to shower, relax (and maybe have a quick nap), one of our representatives will meet you at your guest house or hotel around 4pm. If you’re landing late in the day, your briefing will be around 8am the following morning. Our representative will offer a thorough briefing of your whole holiday and go through your marked road map, vouchers, and itinerary with you. We’re also on hand to book a restaurant for tonight, should we not have already done so.

Day 2 – 4

One of our chauffeur drivers will collect you this morning and transfer you back to the airport in time to connect with your 10h00 flight. Your pilot will escort you to the domestic terminal and through security to your light aircraft. Your flight will be shared with other passengers. Enjoy a beautiful flight over Namibia’s central plateau and the Naukluft Mountains, before landing near the Namib Naukluft National Park close to Sesriem & Sossusvlei. Enjoy three nights here taking part in activities including a guided trip to Sossusvlei, nature drives, guided walks, or quad biking. You may also like to take a unique hot air balloon trip for an additional fee.

Day 5

Climb aboard a plane again today for your 11h20 flight to the coast, hopefully viewing some of the unique desolate Skeleton Coast landscape from the air. You will be transferred to The Strand Hotel from Swakopmund Airfield and enjoy an afternoon exploring the town, maybe enjoying an ice cream or coffee at one of the many cafes. We also love the aquarium which has a walk-through viewing tunnel and daily feeding  in the large tank at 15h00. Other attractions include the snake park, a brilliantly informative way to learn about Namibia’s reptiles, and the ‘Kristall Galerie’ which houses one of the world’s largest quartz crystals. And at the end of a busy day, we recommend champagne and oysters on the deck of The Jetty restaurant to watch the sunset.

Day 6

Today you will be collected from the hotel and transferred to Walvis Bay for a half-day (approx. 5 hours) catamaran cruise with a beach BBQ on the beautiful Pelican Point Peninsula. Your activity starts from the Walvis Bay Waterfront and you can look forward to seeing an abundance of bird and mammal life, with sightings of pelicans and seals up close. Delight in the fresh sea air, followed by great food on the beach, with fresh oysters and bubbly. After lunch, you will take a short boat cruise back to the Waterfront and then a transfer back to Swakopmund.

Day 7 – 8

After being transferred back to Swakopmund Airfield, you will take off at 12h50 and arrive at Mowani Lodge in time for afternoon tea. During your two nights here, you will enjoy an inclusive desert elephant nature drive and a guided visit to the World Heritage site of Twyfelfontein with its fascinating San Bushman rock art.

Day 9 – 10

You will be able to relax around the lodge this morning before your 14h00 flight to the Ongava Reserve bordering Etosha National Park, Namibia’s prime wildlife area. From Ongava, you have a 1h45 road transfer out of the Park and onwards to the Etosha Heights private reserve, and Safarihoek Lodge. During your time here you can enjoy inclusive guided game drives on the private reserve, guided walks, and wildlife viewing at the lodge waterhole.

Day 11

Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch at Safarihoek before taking a transfer back to Ongava for your 15h05 flight across Etosha National Park to Mokuti airstrip. From here, you will take a scenic drive into the Onguma Game Reserve which also borders the Park.

Day 12

Enjoy an inclusive morning game drive, and this afternoon/ evening you can look forward to a unique sleepout experience! After a leisurely drive through Onguma’s wilderness you will arrive at a perfectly chosen location where your abode awaits. Welcomed with sundowner drinks you will be taken through an orientation. Built on two levels, the Dream Cruiser features a full bathroom downstairs complete with shower, flush toilet, and basin whilst the upper deck features a bedroom with lounge area. Your guide is on call via a two-way radio so make the most of this time and relax in the safety and complete comfort of this unique space.

Day 13

This morning, you will enjoy morning coffee / tea with homemade rusks / biscuits before being collected and taken back to the lodge for breakfast. Enjoy another full day in this spectacular wildlife haven with an inclusive game drive this afternoon.

Day 14

After a final morning in the bush, transfer back to the Mokuti Airstrip. Your final flight departs at 16h00 and takes you  back to Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport, where you will land at 17h00.
