Vingerklip Lodge
Vingerklip Lodge nestles in a valley, near the rock formation from which it derives it’s name. The 35m high pillar of sedimentary rock, the Vingerklip, (Finger Rock) is one of the most impressive rock formations in Namibia. It stands proudly above a valley, known as the Ugab terraces, mid-way between the Etosha National Park and Swakopmund in the heart of Damaraland. This is an excellent base to explore the many attractions of Damaraland, a vast beautiful wilderness in north-west Namibia. At Vingerklip Lodge there are 22 well-appointed, thatched bungalows, spread out along a hillside, including 1 luxury unit with a small kitchen. 11 of the 22 bungalows are suitable for family-style holidays, with loft accommodation for two children. They each have en-suite bathrooms, a fan, mosquito nets and an in-room safe. The sheltered sundowner veranda has breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and is an ideal spot to watch the magnificent Namibian sun set.
