Moremi Crossing

Moremi Crossing is a 16 tented camp built on a palm fringed island surrounded by the Moremi’s game-rich seasonal floodplains and overlooking Chief’s Island. Moremi Crossing will be a new style safari camp combining luxury with simplicity. This is a 100% eco-friendly development featuring the latest in solar and waste disposal technology. Accommodation consists of 16 en suite and spacious tents on raised decks, each with their own veranda. We have both a Family Tent and a Honeymoon Tent.

The Okavango is an immense river that never meets the sea. Instead, its crystal clear waters spread across the Kalahari Desert, forming Africa ‘s largest wetland wonder. The Delta is an abundant oasis amid the vast plains and pans of the desert that covers most of Southern Africa . Its waterways are a mesh of meandering and intercepting channels, creating a haven for Africa ‘s most celebrated wildlife.

Thank you David for helping us organize a wonderful trip. We stayed two nights Pom Pom Camp which was outstanding. The welcoming atmosphere was perfect after two days of air travel from Canada. The peaceful setting, delicious food, luxurious accommodation and wonderful hosts, Balou and Tessa, made our stay exceptional. We even saw a leopard stretched out on a tree limb over her kill. Thank you Rams for the great guided tours.

Moremi Crossing was very enjoyable with several mokoro and boat rides and also walks which were most informative. Thanks to EB our very informative guide. The food here was also very good and the deck open to the Delta waters with elephants grazing was very relaxing. In both lodges we had our own private decks and soaked up the peaceful atmosphere, bird calls, animals in the distance (and up close!) and expansive views. From there three nights at Chobe Safari Lodge which is quite different - less intimate - but very nice in its own way. The food was excellent, a beautiful swimming pool to relax by, family of wart hogs kneeling about on the lawns.

Very friendly management and excellent game drives, large boat excursions, small boat excursions and a walk to Namibian village made for a super stay. Land and boat transfers took us to Zambia where we stayed at the Bush Buck Lodge with wonderful hosts, Oriel and Allan. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and lovely dinners near the creek. The highlight was the Lion Encounter which was an experience of a lifetime. Victoria Falls were beautiful although less dramatic than from the Zimbabwe side as the water levels were low. Still awesome! From there transfers back to Kasane airport where we flew on to Cape Town and a completely different type of holiday. Would love to come back to the Okavanga Delta and would certainly book with ATI again. Thank you, David.
