Tjipee Karaerua
Admin Assistant
Tjipee joined the ATI team in November 2022 as an intern/ vacation job. Here she learned so much more about tourism and Namibia as she helped out in different departments, learning how each one works in correlation with one another.
She rejoined the ATI team permanently in February 2024, and is currently in the admin department where she continues to learn and grow.
Tjipee has always enjoyed watching travel documentaries and reading up on different parts of the country (mostly the ones she hasn’t been to yet). She has visited some parts of Namibia, and enjoyed the unique landscapes they all have to offer, but her favourite is always going to be the coastal part of Namibia. From the calming sounds of the ocean to the relaxing weather.
Tjipee says:
Why did you get into tourism? Having spent a lot of time on the farm when I was younger, I’ve always felt connected to nature and enjoyed good scenery. I’ve always loved to travel to different parts of Namibia, experiencing different cultures and places with their uniqueness. I first showed interest in tourism at age 13 after a trip to the south with my father, and since I’ve always watched various travel documentaries and vlogs.
What are your must have travel items? Lip gloss, sunscreen, and my phone.
