Albertina Elago
Admin Assistant
Albertina joined our admin team in March 2023, and is busy marking maps and writing itineraries for all our lovely guests! Albertina grew up in a small town called Okahao in the northern part of Namibia, and has been in the tourism industry since 2016. She started as a receptionist intern at the Cheetah Conservation Fund, and worked there for 7 months before moving to Asco car hire, where she was a rental agent for two years.
In 2019 October Albertina joined Blue Crane safaris as a tour consultant trainee, but Covid came along and her journey with them ended in 2020. When she was a child she used to watch a programme on Namibia broadcasting company (NBC) called “Know your Namibia”. It was all about Namibia’s highlights, and she was so curious to know more that she was inspired to pursue studies in travel and tourism.
Albertina says:
What are your must have travel items? My phone, water bottle, & sunglasses.
What meal could you eat everyday? Steak, & mahangu pap!
What is your favourite Namibian destination and why? Sossusvlei! Who doesn’t want to see and experience the incredible richly coloured sand dunes and the oldest desert in the world?
What is your favorite book and or movie? The English harem by Anthony McCartne.
A quote to live by? Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible!” Audrey Hepburn.
