The Gamsberg Nature Reserve is a protected area of Namibia, located west of the small town of Rehoboth. The beautiful flat-topped Gamsberg Mountain is found here, at a height of 2347m above sea level it is said to be the third highest mountain in Namibia. The area is home to many species of wildlife, including the shy Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra. In this remote area, between Windhoek and the Namib Desert, it is possible to observe the night sky with very little light pollution.
