Hayleen Cloete
Admin Assistant
Hayleen studied Hotel Management at NUST, and during her internship at the Windhoek Hilton Hotel, she discovered her passion for tourism. After graduating with an Honours degree in Marketing and gaining a year of experience at another tourism company, she was unfortunately laid off due to the adverse economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the industry. She then relocated to Germany, where she spent her first year working as an au pair, immersing herself in a new culture. In her second year, she pursued studies in winemaking and had the opportunity to travel across Germany, France, and the Netherlands, further deepening her knowledge and appreciation of European life.
In 2023, Hayleen returned home with a desire to settle down and build her future. She feels fortunate that ATI Holidays provided her the opportunity to do so within the tourism industry.
Hayleen says:
What are your must have travel items? My travel bag would contain all the essentials: my passport, phone, charger, AirPods, a small toiletry kit, wallet, clean underwear, and two outfits.
What meal could you eat every day? Pasta. I love me some good meaty/seafood pasta!
What is your favourite Namibian destination and why? Namibia is beautiful country with many different landscapes and cultures. It’s hard to pick just one favorite place!
Can you tell us a favourite quote to live by? Joy comes in the morning – new day, new opportunities!!
