Chevonne de Jager
Trainee Consultant
Chevonne joined us in March 2023 and is working in our admin department whilst training to become a tour consultant. Chevonne, like quite a few of our team, is studying at the same time as holding down her fulltime job and is currently busy with a Higher Certificate in Hospitality and Service Management (BAC). Working as a call centre agent for 3 months during her gap year, and dealing with UK customers, has taught her to work efficiently and with patience!
Chevonne says:
How did you get into tourism? It has always been one of the industries that drew my attention the most. I wanted to find an industry that had interesting and exciting content to learn about that kept my interests going and tourism did exactly that. Learning and studying became interesting all of a sudden (it never appealed to me before).
What meal could I eat everyday? Chicken, chicken, chicken and chicken!
Tell us something most people don’t know about you. I wear socks all the time thus when you see me there’s a very high probability I’m wearing socks.
What is your favorite Namibian destination and why? There’s no place more beautiful than the picture perfect grand red sand dunes, white gravel plains, and black trees. Sossusvlei has a stunning combination of colours and a uniqueness to it. I can spend hours admiring its beautiful yet peaceful nature.
Can you give us a quote to live by? Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can’t.
